Yarn for Tiny Doll Wigs (36 in)
Note:: Colors may appear slightly different on different screens.
This is just a listing for those who don't want to buy an entire skein of yarn just to make a little wig for one tiny doll.
Yarn comes UNBRUSHED, so you will need to comb it out yourself.
Once brushed, the wefts can be as long as 15 cm, though this can vary slightly based on technique.
One order should be enough to make a full wig for tiny dolls, with wefts to spare.
If you're making a wig for a doll head any bigger than a Barbie's, you might want to get two orders just to make sure you have enough!
TIPS:
• If you want really long wefts, gently pull the yarn apart by hand without cutting it!
• Brush out your doll hair with a wire pet brush! Do NOT use a plastic comb, as that will damage the fibers!
• Alternate gently combing and using a low-temp flat iron. The yarn is acrylic, so it will melt if the temperature is too high! It may take a few passes, but it will straighten out and become smooth and shiny.
• Brush together two colors to make highlights, or blend them completely for a new color altogether!
• Tame the finished wig using a clean, wet toothbrush.
• The yarn holds a style pretty well on its own, but if you need a bit more hold, you can use watered-down Clear Elmer's Glue.
